Peren District Pharmacist Association celebrated National Pharmacy Week on October 23.
Peren, October 23 (MExN): Peren District Pharmacist Association celebrated National Pharmacy Week under the theme ‘The role of Pharmacist in Promoting Patient Health Care’ on October 23.
Izierang Nza, President PDPA in his presidential address mentioned the contribution of pharmacists in the healthcare in the society. He also underlined the importance of pharmacists in patient safety and counselling services. He also shared that within the past few years with the increase in experience, knowledge and degrees the pharmacist were also being recognised by the public and the department as well. He also encouraged and motivate the pharmacist to give their best, to work with sincerity and sacrifice to work that they are assigned to.
Sentila Longchar, DPO gave a short speech and motivated the pharmacist for their hard work and dedication. She also highlighted about the duties and responsibilities and also shared about the Nagaland Essential Drug List.
The programme was followed by group discussion. Iruppeu, Pharmacist, Tening CHC gave the vote of thanks. Hosea, Head Pharmacist, District Hospital, Peren gave the benediction. Kerangngaulule, Senior Pharmacist chaired the programme.
