National Road Safety Month was observed at Atoizu Town on January 28.

Atoizu, January 28 (MExN): The National Road Safety Month was observed at Atoizu Town under the theme “Parwaah Karenge, Surakshit Rahenge” (Will Take Care to Stay Safe) on January 28.
The event was chaired by N Nchumbemo Kikon, AEI, Zunheboto and began with an invocation by Rev Vikuto Katty, Pastor, SBAK (Aizuto), Atoizu Town while Dr Samuel Akho Konyak, Extra Assistant Commissioner, Atoizu, delivered the welcome note.
Key sessions included “Road Safety Awareness” by Er Akhamba Chang, MVI, Zunheboto and a detailed presentation on “Violations and Penalties” by Lanuyanger Ao, MVC, Zunheboto. The interactive session allowed participants to share their concerns and seek clarifications, stated a DIPR.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Er Khehoto Chopy, Atoizu Town Councillor, and a benediction by Khetoi Chopy, Pastor, NCRC, Atoizu. The event saw participation from the District Administration, Police, Atoizu Town Council, Civil society organisations, vehicle owners, drivers, and local community.
