National Science Day held at Kiphire

Kiphire, March 20 (MExN): Altogether 19 students from 10 schools took part in the National Science Day held at Kiphire with Deenabandhu Panda, DEO as guest of honour. The programme was organized by the district education office at the conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner Conference hall Saturday last.  

Addressing the students, Deenabandhu Panda DEO shared on the life story of the C.V Raman and highlighted his achievements and contribution in the field of science.  

The DEO also said that was a time when especially able persons were considered burden to the society but today, with the shift of time things are changing and there are lot of innovations to help those persons and they are contributing a lot to the growth of the society.  

The DEO also asked the gathering to encourage especially able persons so that they come forward and become a living example to others. He encouraged the students to think and come up with technology and innovations which can be helpful to the especially able persons which can be a great contribution in the field of science and technology.  

Students from El-Beth school got the first and third runners up and Agape School student representative got second runners up was awarded cash and certificate.
