Phek, February 28 (MExN): National Science Day 2017 programme was organized on February 28 by Krishi Vigyan Kendra-Phek at Bethel School, Porba.
More than 50 students and teachers actively participated in the event. The programme was initiated with a brief introductory note by Dr. Rinku Bharali, ACTO, KVK-Phek. He highlighted the significant of the day and demonstrated few scientific experiments to the student. Sashimeren, Head Teacher, Bethel School emphasized the importance of fostering scientific temper among the students. An essay writing completion was held on the occasion.
Shelu, Matholu and Nutsu won 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize respective. Consolation prizes were given away to the participating students. KVK staff Liza Baruah Bharali, Imsennaro Longchar, Setsonyi, Rokongulie, Arovi also participated in the event.
It was stated in a press release that the programme concluded with a vote to thanks by Dr. Debojyoti Borkotoky, SMS (Animal Science), KVK-Phek.
