National seminar on innovations in future education system held

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 13 (MExN): Modern Institute of Teacher Education, Kohima organized a two-day national seminar on ‘Innovations in future education system: India 2.0’ which was sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi. 

Delivering the keynote address, Dr T Sharon Raju, Professor and HoD Education in Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam, spoke on the innovations in NEP, how NEP is more about learning than studying, to be ready to accept challenges, to learn the fundamentals and basics to be creative and innovative, to take up interdisciplinary approach etc.  

Earlier, theme introduction was given by Professor Gyanendra Nath Tiwari, Department of Teacher Education, Kohima Campus, NU and inaugural welcome address by Dr H L Gangte, Vice Principal, MITE, Kohima.

Plenary and technical sessions deliberated on learning management system, e-learning initiatives, issues and challenges of teacher education in India and universal design for learning. Various Ph.D. researchers and scholars as well as professors, principals and heads from different college, universities presented on different topics related to their study.

During the valedictory session, the valedictory speech was given Professor T Sharon Raju and felicitations by Dr Kottairaj, Principal, Sri Vinayaga College of Education, Tamil Nadu. Vote thanks was delivered by Kavani Hekha.
