
Dimapur, March 22 (MExN): Tetso College and St. Joseph’s College are organising two-day National Seminar at their respective colleges on March 24 and 25.
The UGC sponsored National Seminar at Tetso College is being organised by the Department of Sociology in collaboration with Young Indians (Yi), Nagaland Chapter Seminar on ‘Challenges & Issues of the Tribals in India’. The seminar is open to all interested public, a press release informed. Registrations will be from 9:00 to 10:00 am on March 24, while the inaugural session will begin at 10:00 am. Professor A. Lanunungsang Ao, retired Pro-Vice Chancellor, Nagaland University will deliver the keynote address at the inaugural. The seminar will comprise of four academic sessions that include paper presentations from academicians around the country such as Delhi University, TISS Mumbai, Puri Foundation, Gujarat, West Bengal and more. A panel discussion will also be held on day two focussing on challenges and issues prevalent in Nagaland. At St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the college is organizing the National Seminar on ‘The Best Practices in Higher Education for Quality Management’ sponsored by NAAC on March 24 and 25 at 10:00 am. Dr. B.S. Madhukar, Adviser, NAAC, Bangalore will give the keynote address. A press release informed that the seminar provides a platform for the administrators and policy makers of higher education institutions, faculty members, IQAC Coordinators and Research Scholars to explore the seven criteria that contribute to the efficient and effective functioning of the institution as well as the outcome.
