Nationalist Congress Party office in Wokha inaugurated

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) inaugurated its new office in Tsumang ‘A’ Colony, Wokha Town on October 8 with Y Mhonbemo Humtsoe NCS, MLA for 38 A/C and Chairman of the District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) Wokha, gracing the event as chief guest.

Y Mhonbemo Humtsoe, NCS and MLA for 38 A/C, and Chairman of the District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) Wokha, underscored the importance of unity within the party. He expressed confidence that, in the days to come, the party would continue to come together to work collaboratively. Humtsoe emphasised that, although the office may not be grand, it is essential to raise the party flag high, ensuring that the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) is recognised within the community.

He also noted the commendable atmosphere within the NCP, highlighting the absence negative relationships among members. He expressed his appreciation for the mutual respect the members holds for each other stating that it is vital for the party’s growth and effectiveness. By maintaining these strong, positive relationships, the NCP can strengthen its influence and continue to serve community, he added.

A dedicatory prayer was offered by Yanbemo Kithan, Deacon of Wokha Town Baptist Church, followed by a special performance by Lirhoni Z Lotha from the A20s All-Female Band, showcasing her talent on the bass guitar.

The event commenced with an introduction by N Jenibemo Odyuo, President of NCP Wokha District. The Chief Guest performed the ceremonial ribbon-cutting, officially inaugurating the office.

The proceedings were chaired by Andrew T. Tsanglao, General Secretary of NCP Wokha District. Following the welcome address delivered by Thunglamo Lotha, Vice President of NCP Wokha District, Short speeches were made by S.E. Kikon, Advisor to NCP Nagaland State, and Myingthungo Kikon, Convenor of NCP and Councilor WTC while vote of thanks was delivered by Liyingbeni Humtsoe, Mahila President of NCP Wokha District. Later, a slogan was led by Rhonthungo Kithan, Youth President of NCP Wokha District, and remarks from Sulanthung Murry, Youth General Secretary of NCP Wokha.
