Dimapur, February 5 (MExN): The 74th annual session of Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) has commenced from February 4 at Rotomi Baptist Church under the theme “Being Rooted in the Word of God”.
A press note issued by NBCC 74th annual session, Publicity & Media, Convenor, Khekiho Shohe stated that the monolith of the annual session was unveiled by Rev. Dr. L. Anjo Keikung, General Secretary, NBCC. He talked on the significance of raising monolith as it indicates a covenant between Almighty and his believers. Rev. Yevito Jimo, Executive Secretary, SBAK delivered the welcome address on behalf of Nito Mount, Zunheboto. GB Hukato Shohe, Convener of the session welcomed the guests on behalf of the hosting village. Special songs were presented by Rotomi Baptist Church and Witter Bible College, Wokha while keynote address was delivered by the President of NBCC Rev. Kuzierang Thoü.
Meanwhile, an open press conference will be organized during the session. Interested delegates may join and be a part of the Conference. The venue will be near the dinning hall. The programme will be coordinated by Rev. Iringtie Kauring Youth Secretary, NBCC. February 5-Time 1:30 PM -Phutoli Chingmak and Kethoser Kevichüsa; February 6 -Time 1:30 PM -Rev. Bonny Resu and Rev. Dr. Chingmak Kejong and 7:00 PM (After closing service) General Secretary, NBCC and NBCC New Office Bearers.
Also free limited CDs entitled “The Soul Searching,” which is a documentary film on Old Age & Destitute Home at Rotomi will be available at the Control room (Church gate). This documentary reflects the true story of a lonely human’s soul that is hidden behind our walls...the unheard voices of the blemished human being…story of each individual retold rekindling into the abandoned and struggling lives. It is further informed that “the proceeds of this bulletin will go to the old age & destitute home”

Message from NBCC Gen Secy
We are here at the Rotomi Baptist Church attending the 74th Annual Session of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council. The theme for the year 2011 is “Being Rooted in the Word of God.” The entire session and worship will be focused on this theme.
Rotomi village is situated on a hill top 15 kms from the Doyang River, NH 61. The Rotomi Community has put in their best effort to host the Annual Session. Everyone can visualize from the village gate till the Session Center, the dining hall and the accommodations the amount of hard work the village has put in, to make everything comfortable and beautiful for the delegates.
The Executive Session has already started from 3rd evening and will continue till 4th evening. The Annual Session with officially begin with the opening service upon arrival of all the delegates from all the 20 Associations under NBCC. The program will consist on Bible Exposition, Workshop on “Self sustenance of the Local Church” and the Public Distribution System, and evening worship wherein the message will be on the theme of the NBCC. In addition, the host church will also be entertaining and presenting to the delegates a cultural event.
Our anticipation is for the gathering to be more informed on the various issues that are pertinent in our society today and being deeply and firmly rooted in the Word of God the churches in Nagaland will be better equipped to address the issues fervently and meaningfully.
