Kiphire, November 12 (MExN): Seyochung sub-division under Kiphire district will “receive one of the largest CSR of 2.35 crore.” Informing about this in a press release, EAC Seyochung, Moasunep K Jingru on behalf of the District Administration stated that National Building Construction Corporation Ltd (NBCC) will be investing “a total of 2.35 Crore as part of their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility).”

The company will invest in construction of CHC building at Seyochung Sub-Division under Kiphire District, an Aspiration District. The company will also provide in their second phase X-Ray machine, Ultra Sound, ECG, USG machine etc. and a BSL ambulance. “With the execution of the project the CHC Seyochung (Community Health Centre) will be one of the most well-equipped Health Center in whole of Nagaland and Northeast,” the EAC stated.

As per the press release, “The company is committed to building such health facilities in one of the most isolated and remotest part of the country so as to ensure effectiveness of CSR implementation. Unlike most of the companies which do not invest CSR to states like Nagaland and most Northeaster part of the country, this was also made known during the first “CSR and Investment Conclave 2022” by our Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, which was held at Kohima, Nagaland in the month of August and encouraged companies to invest CSR here in states like Nagaland, NBCC would be one of the very few companies to do so.”

The NBCC team from Shillong led by DGM Zuchi Humtsoe along with EAC Moasunep K Jingru from District Administration verified the site on November 11 to start the execution of the project and to be completed before end of this financial year.
