NBCC prayer calls for awakening of conscience

DIMAPUR, APRIL 4 (MExN): The Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) has initiated a 152-hour ‘Chain of Prayer’ for the upcoming Lok Sabha General Election 2024 from April 12, where it also calls for prayers to awaken the conscience of leaders and voters of Nagaland.

Among the prayer points, the NBCC has called upon the masses to pray for the leaders to be God fearing and that whoever is elected will stay close to God and the people. It called for prayer that God will awaken the dormant conscience of our leaders and they come to the knowledge that they are responsible to God first, and to the people who put them to power. It also called for prayer that the fear of God and the love for the people will sink into their heart.

The NBCC has also urged upon the masses to pray that as voters, we will be able to distinguish real politics from false politicians who are there in power just to play with our emotion by filling their pockets with all that belong to the public. It has also called for prayer that we will not be pointing fingers at each other but honestly come out to condemn the evil practices of the present-day election system.
