Dimapur, February 7 (MExN): The 77th Annual Council of the Nagaland Baptist Church Council hosted by Council of Rengma Baptist Churches (CRBC) at Zunpha started on February 7, 2014. Rev. Dr. Boonratna Boayen, Moderator, Church of Christ in Thailand (CCT), one of the main speakers brought the message on the topic “Holy Spirit and Mission.” The speaker stated that any Christian mission will not go far without waiting and receiving the Holy Spirit. He also stressed that “Christian mission is our relationship and our responsibility with God and that as Christians our mission is to bear witness about the Good News of Jesus Christ.”
The program opened with spot light presentation by the host association, informed a press release. Rev. Mhathung, Vice President of NBCC chaired the service while Disie Katiry, Executive Secretary, PBCC read the scripture and pronounced the invocation. Rev. Dr. L. Anjo Keikung, General Secretary of NBCC gave the introduction and adoption of the annual council program. Rev. Tenga Seb, Executive Secretary, CRBC welcomed the delegates and Rev. C. Lima, President, NBCC presented the keynote address. The program ended with benediction by Dr. Botoholi, Education and Communication Secretary, NBCC. Special music was brought by the CRBC and Wokha Town Baptist Church choir.
