DIMAPUR, JUNE 24 (MExN): The Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) Youth Department has called upon all churches under the council to observe NBCC Youth Prayer, Fasting & Youth Sunday on July 2 and 3 under the theme ‘Stand Firm in the Truth (Eph. 6:10-17).’ A press release from the NBCC informed that the NBCC Youth Day was first observed on July 4, 1982. Since then, it has been observed every first Sunday of July. The purpose of this day is to let young people come together to pray for NBCC Youth Ministry and to worship together on Sunday morning with creative programs. As the practice, the NBCCYD will be organizing Youth Prayer & Fasting on July 2 and Youth Sunday on July 3. The prayer points have already been disseminated to the churches and fellowships through the respective associations, the NBCC informed. It appealed to all Naga congregations under NBCC in and outside of Nagaland to observe these two days and “seek blessings from God and celebrate His goodness.”
