The Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) today distributed gift packages to two quarantine centres at K. Badze, Kohima and Meriema.

The package included prayer letters from NBCC, NBCC news letter, Gideon Bible, face mask, basic needs like tooth brush, paste, soap, toilet rolls, chocolates, biscuits, juice, etc.

The team handed over the packages to the concerned authority at the gate of the quarantine centres and shared a word of prayer.

“At this time, since it is difficult to go and meet everyone in the quarantine centers in Kohima, the NBCC prepared a ‘Prayer pack’ for 850 of our children who are in the quarantine centers and delivered to them today,” NBCC General Secretary, Rev Dr Zelhou Keyho told The Morung Express.

He said that as they delivered the packages, the NBCC team prayed with the quarantine in charge and a few of the front line workers and thanked them for the sacrifice and hard work they have been extending.

“We realize the stress and tension they go through handling the incoming returnees every day. We saw the dedication in all of them though physically, mentally, and psychologically they are overwhelmed. Many of us are complaining and giving wise direction without knowing the reality they face each day. They deserve our support in every possible way,” stated Rev. Keyho.

NBCC Youth Secretary, Rev. Vikuo Rhi said that the NBCC is also planning to extend similar packages to some quarantine centres in Dimapur as well.
