Kohima, July 3 (MExN): The Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) Youth Department (YD) has called upon all the churches under the council, especially the Youth Departments, to observe NBCC Youth Prayer and Sunday from July 5 – 7, 2024.
First initiated on July 4, 1984, it has since evolved into an annual prayer event where young people come together and pray for the NBCC ministry and get involved in the morning worship service and other activities celebrating its youth ministry, informed a press release from the NBCCYD.
In a tentative schedule, the NBCCYD office urged all the member churches to organize social work in the church compound on the evening of July 5 or any other convenient day.
The period from 6 AM to 12 noon on July 6 should be allotted for youth prayer and fasting, it said. Sports and Scripture Engagement Fellowship should be organised by inviting the young people to the playground in the evening, it added.
Further, on July 7, the NBCCYD informed member churches to organize youth Sunday worship. NBCC Youth Secretary Rev. N. Suhuto Chishi, meanwhile, has urged all the youth secretaries to disseminate the information to all the youth leaders of the local church, including the prayer points, the sermon, and the worship outline.
