NBSE exams underway: Over 39000 students appear for HSSLC & HSLC

The Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) examination 2026 under Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) commenced across Nagaland on February 12.

NBSE Secretary & Chairperson (Additional Charge), Rangumbuing Nsarangbe told The Morung Express that a total of 16095 candidates enrolled for HSSLC exam this year in 68 exam centres across the state.

Out of 16095 candidates, Arts stream form the highest with 11823, Commerce stream- 1181 and Science stream - 3091.

Meanwhile, the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination (HSLC) 2026 will start from February 13 in 98 exam centres across Nagaland.

Altogether, 23505 candidates have been enrolled for HSLC examination. It comprises 10927 male and 12578 female.

So far, the examination has been conducted smoothly in all the examination centres across the state, Nsarangbe said.

Extending best wishes to all the candidates, he also urged all the students to appear the exam without any stress, and also appear the exam “confidently and calmly.”
