The prize distribution ceremony of the State Level Art Competition 2024 in commemoration of 50th year celebration of Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) took place at NBSE Conference Hall, Kohima on August 8.
Lemchile Sangtam from Mezhür Higher Secondary School, Kohima bagged the first position and awarded with a cash prize of Rs 20,000. Mesanei Kuotsu from Eden Academy, Mokokchung stood second position and received Rs 15,000. Nutho Tunyi from Chakhesang Mission Higher Secondary School Pfutsero stood third position and fetched a cash prize of Rs 10,000.
Kevileno Angami, Commissioner & Secretary For School Education & SCERT and Temsunaro Aier, State Mission Director, Samagra Shiksha Nagaland handed over prize to the winners.
Kevileno Angami congratulated all the participants of the competition and asked them to continue to hone their skills. “Nothing comes easy without hard work,” she said. Kevileno told the students that art is an expression of idea and imagination and it promote innovation.
Earlier, Asano Sekhose, chairperson NBSE briefed the background of the art competition. Kevirale-ü Kerhuo, Director SCERT Nagaland also present at the function. The programme was chaired by NBSE secretary Rangumbuing Nsarangbe.
