
KOHIMA, JULY 9 (MExN): The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has notified all the registered Heads of Institutions that the Ministry of Education, Department of School Education & Literacy, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has requested the students to participate in the Youth Parliament competitions. The objective is to strengthen the roots of democracy, inculcate healthy habits of discipline, develop tolerance of divergent views and familiarize the student community with the procedures and functioning of parliament, a DIPR report said.
Registration for the 4th edition on the NYPS portal is now on and it can be accessed at https://nyps.mpa.gov.in/. All the recognized educational institution of the Board may register on the portal and organize youth parliament sittings.
For further queries with regards to eligibility, registration of institutions to web-portal and resources for conducting the competition, all concerned have been directed to access https://nyps.mpa.gov.in, the DIPR report informed.
In this regard, HoDs have been informed to disseminate the information to the students and encourage them to participate in National Youth Parliament Scheme (NYPS).
Informs HoDs on Olympiad for students
Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has notified all the registered Heads of Institutions that Vishwaroop education has requested for inclusion of “The Constitution of India and Social Sciences” Olympiad in the annual academic calendar, to encourage students studying in class 6 to 12 to participate in the Olympiad based on the subject.
Informing this, a DIPR report said Vishwaroop education will be organizing an Olympiad based on “Constitution and Social Sciences.” The Olympiad, featuring 24 illustrations of various constitutional aspects, aim to educate students about constitutional values and key provisions while instilling qualities like patriotism, honesty, dedication.
It informed that the first round of the Olympiad will be held on November 26, coinciding with the 75th Constitution day, while the second round will be held between December 25 and December 31, coinciding with Christmas and the martyrdom day of the sons of Guru Gobind Singh and the final round, scheduled to coincide with the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on January 11, 2025. The award ceremony will be conducted on the birthday of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
