DIMAPUR, April 14 (MExN): Mokokchung and Tuensang won their respective Group B matches on Saturday in the ongoing Nagaland Cricket Association Under-23 Inter-district Cricket Tournament at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Dimapur.
Mokokchung defeated Wokha by 6 wickets, while Tuensang engineered a 9-wicket drubbing of Kohima. Electing to bat, Wokha scored 139 (all-out) in 24.2 overs. Mokokchung made the chase look easy, making 141 in 19.3 overs for the loss of 4 wickets with Monoj scoring 82. Chumben was the pick of the Wokha bowlers, who claimed two wickets.
In the other game, Tuensang raced to victory in 13.3 overs chasing a target of 82 set by Kohima. Earlier, in their innings, Kohima could muster only 81 all-out in 20.3 overs. The Tuensang run-chase included a 50 from Aditya. Zhalietuo took the sole wicket claimed by Kohima.
