Zunheboto, July 9 (MExN): The 25th NL (I) Coy NCC Boys Zunheboto unit after attending the 10 day Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) at CRPF Camp Mokokchung conducted a mass cleanliness drive at Akuluto town with the theme, ‘say no to plastic’ under the leadership of ANO Angukato Achumy and ANO Samuel Zhimo.
The cleanliness drive was conducted in order to create awareness on the harmful effects of plastic and to keep the environment clean and safe. The cadets cleaned up the areas, not leaving a single plastic and other garbage behind, a press release issued by Bombo K Yeptho, Senior Commander, Woodland NCC stated.
The Associate NCC Officer Samuel Zhimo asked the People to use less plastic and promote the use of non plastic things. He also explained about the harmful impacts that plastic cause the environment. Altogether 58 cadets along with two ANOs and two Senior Cadets took part in the cleanliness drive.
