
Mokokchung, June 20 (MExN): The 10-day National Cadet Corps (NCC) camp in Mokokchung is carrying on despite heavy rains, informed a press release received here on June 20.
The cadets have undergone a Traffic Rules Lecture cum Practical Class. The classes were conducted by Sub Inspector C Patton and his team. Patton spoke to the cadets about what all they are supposed to adhere to once out of their house with respect to their documents, their duties on the road and how NCC cadets can contribute in making people aware of road safety, and decongestion of traffic during peak hours in towns of Nagaland. He also emphasized on the volunteer duties given to SD cadets during major festivals in the town.
The release further informed that the blood donation camp began on June 20 under First Officer Nokpang Konyak and 3/O Imtilepba I.
Three SD cadets donated blood and the rest will follow in the coming days.
The firing practice with an aim ‘Shoot To Win’ is also being carried out under First Officer Tzuwar, 3/O Hontin Konyak and 3/O Indenmongba in the presence of PI staff Hav Rajan.
“The cadets are progressing in all aspects and one can see them even practicing their tribal martial dances in the evenings,” the release added.
