Mokokchung, June 17 (DIPR): The 25 (IND) COY NCC Mokokchung consisting of participants from 5 Districts; Mokokchung, Zunheboto, Tuensang, Longleng and Mon are taking part in the ten days Annual Training Camp (ATC) at CRPF camp, Mokokchung which began on June 15. Group Commander NCC Nagaland, Brigadier M.S. Nikam inspected the training camp on June 17.
Brig. MS Nikam in his speech encouraged the cadets citing an example of Prime Minister Narendra Modi whom he said, was a famous N.C.C Cadet who is now leading the Country. He said in today’s society, N.C.C plays a vital role in Disaster force and they are trained up to face any kind of challenges. Besides, cadets are also taught to become a responsible citizen which is an asset for our society, he added. On 15th August, the Government of India will be organising Swaach Bharat Night in collaboration with Youth Day.
Therefore, he urged the Cadets to learn as to how garbages and one’s surrounding are kept clean and healthy. Altogether 419 including 8 ANOS and 3 CTOS from 26 institutions from 5 Districts are taking part in their camping which will conclude on June 24.
