NCC combined annual training in Wokha underway

Wokha, August 3 (MExN):  A Combined Annual Training Camp of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) got underway at Assam Rifles Camp, Wokha. 377 NCC cadets from the southern part of the state registered for the camp.

The camp was inaugurated on August 2 by Brig. Dipankar Saha, Group Commander, NCC Group, Nagaland. He exhorted the cadets to grab the opportunities being offered by NCC. Such exposure helps in broadening the horizon well beyond classroom based teaching-learning process, he said. 

During the camp, the cadets will experience military life, drill, physical fitness, weapon training etc. The cadets will also be enlightened on the areas of Disaster Management Response, Drug Menace, Skill Development initiatives in Nagaland, Opportunities in Armed Services etc. The camp will continue till August 10.
