
Mokokchung, June 18 (MExN): Annual Training Camp for NCC Cadets Boys (Junior & Senior Division) hailing from Mon, Longleng, Mokokchung, Tuensang and Zunheboto districts commenced on June 16 at CRPF Camp, near DEF Camp, Mokokchung. A total of 423 cadets are undergoing the training.
The Senior cadets are from FAC Mokokchung, Sao Chang College Tuensang, Government College Zunheboto and Yingli College Longleng, while the Junior cadets are mostly from Government High Schools and Government Higher Secondary School of the above mentioned districts.
A press release informed that the focus of the camp is on outdoor practical training encompassing the following: Drill with and without arms and will culminate in selection of candidates for RD parade Delhi; Introduction to Obstacle Course and Map Reading which will culminate in selection for Thal Sena Camp; Introduction to Rifle and Shooting Practice, which will culminate in selection of best shooters for participation in various shooting competitions.
The following events will also be covered during the camp by the respective departments: Yoga as part of morning PT, Digitization, Electronic Payments, Aadhaar card and related security aspects by representatives from NIC Mokokchung, blood donation camp under Blood Bank Mokokchung, Disaster Management under Home Guards Mokokchung, Traffic Rules under Traffic Police Mokokchung, Elections and Responsibility under AEO, Nuances of Fire Fighting under Fire Brigade MKG, Tree Plantation at District Hospital Mokokchung, it added.
Meanwhile, Deputy Group Commander Col. KS Dalal inspected the ongoing Training Camp on June 18.
Col. Dalal while speaking to the cadets appreciated them for their enthusiasm and said that the 10 day camp would transform their way of life. He also encouraged the cadets to help society grow, while also highlighting the various opportunities NCC Youth Exchange Programmes offer to the cadets.
