DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 9 (MExN):The Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) has expressed solidarity to the statewide bandh called in protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill 2016 and has urged all to stand united on the issue. A press statement issued by NCD maintained that the Bill is not only detrimental to the people of North East states but it intends to reduce the indigenous people of the North East to a minority in their own land. The NCD has also urged all the tribal hoho/union presidents in Dimapur to take responsibility to implement the proposed bandh peacefully in their respective colonies on February 11.
