Dimapur, June 19 (MExN): The Dimapur Sumi Council (DSC) and the Ward 21 Welfare Committee, Dimapur, have condoled the demise of Holuto Aye, Vice President of the Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) after a brief illness.
Expressing sorrow and a deep sense of loss over the passing of one of its bonafide members, the DSC paid tribute to Aye, describing him as a dedicated and energetic social worker who worked tirelessly for the welfare of the Sumi community and the Nagas at large.
The Council further prayed for God’s solace and comfort for his wife, children, and relatives during this time of bereavement.
The Ward 21 Welfare Committee also remembered late Aye as a man of exceptional integrity, wisdom, and compassion, who devoted his life to public service and consistently upheld the values of unity, progress, and communal harmony.
As NCD Vice President, and in various other roles, he worked selflessly to uplift not only his immediate community but the people of Dimapur as a whole, it stated.
“In his passing, we have lost a fatherly figure, a voice of reason, and a pillar of strength,” the Committee noted, adding that his guidance and unwavering commitment to public service have inspired many, and his absence leaves a void that will be difficult to fill.
Accordingly, the Convenor and all members of the Committee extended their deepest sympathies to the bereaved family and loved ones, praying for peace and comfort in the days ahead.
They further wished for the departed soul to rest in eternal peace and expressed hope that Aye’s legacy would continue to inspire future generations.
