The Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) is likely in for another tussle over office occupancy. According to a court ruling, newly inducted executives of the NCD have been directed to restrain from functioning as office bearers of the organization “till further order.” The order passed by the Civil Judge (Senior Division), Dimapur on October 19, while disposing IA (Interlocutory Application) Number 93/2020, further directed the contending parties, “In case of any exigencies, any of the parties may approach this court for further orders as deemed fit for appointing a caretaker.” As per the order, the IA No 93/2020 “arising out of Civil Suit No. 6/2020” was filed by the petitioner(s) contending the legality of the induction of the NCD office bearers.
