Pastor Zhabu Yimsung remarked, “The basic aim for organizing such a camp is to bring young people together and give them the opportunity to know the Lord.” The theme for SOAR 2014 was based on Isaiah 40:31 - “But those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings of eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint.” To build an in-depth interest for young people to dwell and live according to the word of God, the camp included a deeper quest on the word of God. “This camp is also meant to introduce the Christian Doctrines to young People,” asserted Pastor Zhabu.
Pastor Zajamo Odyuo spoke about the dynamics of discipleship, Christian stewardship, and assurance of salvation. While Pastor Toshi Jamir dealt with morning devotion. The speaker for every evening worship service was Pastor Zhabu Yimsung. “Every evening saw cent percent response and dedication from the campers to the call for dedication of their lives to God,” noted Pastor Yimsung.
It may be mentioned that NCF Bangalore, a ministry under Nagaland Baptist Church Council was founded in October 1990 to provide spiritual guidance and a place to worship for Nagas in Bangalore.
