Chennai, November 11 (MExN): The NCF Chennai celebrated its 39th Foundation Day alongside Cultural Sunday at C.S.I. St. Matthias Church, Chennai on November 10.

The speaker, Avinu Veronica Richa, Assistant Professor at Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, addressed the audience and emphasised the importance of culture in shaping identity and fostering unity. “Culture should be an agent of unity and preserve it for our own identity,” she said, urging attendees to embrace their cultural heritage while inspiring connection within the community.

NCF Chennai Pastor Wapangtoshi, in a tribute to the past leaders and members, including well-wishers of NCF Chennai, encouraged those present to build upon the foundation laid by their predecessors. “Together, we can build on the foundation that has been established, strengthening our bonds, expanding our outreach, and deepening our faith. We have the power to transform lives and spread hope—let’s not take that responsibility lightly,” he stated. Pastor Wapangtoshi also led the congregation in a prayer dedicated to NCF Chennai's Foundation Day.

The programme was chaired by Sousaleo Alex Chao with special songs performed by the mothers and Imsuchila Pongen.
