The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Wokha district celebrated Christmas cum Fellowship Programme at its office in Tsumang 'A' Colony, Wokha Town, today with Yanrenthung Humtsoe, Chairman of MSME (PCI) Wokha, was the special guest for the occasion.
The event was attended by party workers from the district, including youths, Mahila members, senior party workers, and party advisors.
Yanrenthung Humtsoe, Chairman of MSME (PCI) Wokha, in his speech, extended warm Christmas greetings to all attendees and commended the NCP Wokha district for organising the event describing as a first-of-its-kind Pre-Christmas celebration for party workers in the district.
He also highlighted the growth and strength of the party under the leadership of NCP State President Vanthungo Odyuo and elected legislators. Humtsoe acknowledged the support of Y. Mhonbemo Humtsoe, the elected MLA from Wokha, for the party's success in the district. He encouraged party members to continue their dedication and sacrifices, emphasising that the growth of a political party depends on these qualities.
He also urged the party workers to keep praying for their elected leaders, members, and the five NCP town councillors from Wokha Town. "You are the foundation and the root of the tree," Humtsoe said, urging members to stand firm in their political convictions.
The event was chaired by Rhonthungo Kithan, President, NCP Wokha. Lily T. Humtsoe, Member of Wokha Town Council, conveyed Christmas greetings on behalf of the five elected NCP town councillors.
Thungjamo Tsanglao, Chairman, Lotha Literature Committee and Proprietor of Grace School Wokha, delivered the Christmas message. Lithungbeni, General Secretary of Mahila Congress, NCP Wokha, read a scripture, while Rosemary Lotha led the hymn. A musical performance was provided by members of the 90s Band.
