According to him, the NCP’s reach as a political party in the country’s electoral scheme of things is rather limited. But he said that its workers are there on the field, taking stock of its electoral chances to contest in a few constituencies. While stating that the purpose of his visit was to take stock of the electoral situation, he informed that the party has set sight on 5-6 potential candidates. He however added that that it would be too early list names.

While questioning the development promises of the Prime Minister, he said that the people have lost faith in the BJP and its allies. He further informed that the NCP National President, Sharad Pawar would likely visit Nagaland but did not specify a date.
