
Kohima, July 1 (MExN): The Nagaland state unit of Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar) expressed its profound gratitude to the electorates of the 3 Town Councils namely: Wokha, Atoizu and Tening for rendering their unstinted support to the altogether 22 contested NCP candidates out of which 12 were elected including 5 candidates unopposed in the just concluded ULB elections in the state.
“We heartily congratulate all the 12 successful candidates and wishing them all the best in their undertaking endeavours as responsible Councillors at the service of our people at the grassroots,” stated Nagaland state unit president Vanthungo Odyuo.
The state unit also expressed its gratitude to 10 other ULB candidates who could not make it to the winning podium for fighting a good fight and urged them to continue supporting the efforts of the NCP in the days ahead.
NCP Nagaland looks forward for their valuable contribution to the growth of party strength in the days, weeks and years ahead, Odyuo added.
The state unit also conveyed sincere appreciation to the NCP MLAs particularly Y.M. Humtsoe, Er. Picto Shohe and Namri Nchang for their hard work and valuable service extended to the NCP candidates spread over to the 3 Town Councils for which 12 of them came out with flying colours.
Further, it extended sincere gratitude to all NCP supporters and voters. “We assure our best service and support to the people of Nagaland for our common welfare as better days are ahead,” Odyuo added.
