DIMAPUR, JUNE 30 (MExN): The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) today celebrated its wins in the Nagaland Urban Local Body (ULB) elections. With 22 candidates fielded across 3 districts, the NCP secured victories on 12 seats, including 5 candidates elected unopposed.
"This election is a testament to the NCP's rising stature in Nagaland," declared Brijmohan Shrivastav, Chief National Spokesperson of the NCP. "Our success, with wins in both the Vidhan Sabha and now in the ULB elections, reflects the trust and support placed in our party by the people of Nagaland."
Shrivastav highlighted the party's commitment to inclusive governance and empowerment, particularly noting the implementation of 33% reservation for women in these elections. "We are proud to champion gender inclusivity and ensure women's meaningful participation in decision-making processes," he affirmed.
The NCP's performance in Nagaland, coupled with its strategic leadership under State President Vanthungo Odyuo, has positioned the party as a formidable force for progress and development in urban and town areas. "Our victories reinforce our dedication to grassroots democracy and the aspirations of the people," Shrivastav concluded.
