
Dimapur, January 7 (MExN): The Nagaland Christian Revival Church Council (NCRC) on January 9 will declare the beginning of the year of jubilee. The council’s golden jubilee celebration is scheduled from January 9 to 15, 2012.
NCRC president, Rev. Dr N. Paphino through a press release has encouraged every local church, council and different departments in the church to conduct various spiritual awakening activities throughout the Year of Jubilee (January 2011 to January 2012) as epilogue to the jubilee and NCRC office will also do the same.
It is reminded that one day wage will be effectively collected from every individual by local church pastor as resolved in the last NCRC executive meeting. The collection is to be deposited in the NCRC golden jubilee fund through the respective councils before the end of October 2011.
All local churches are also encouraged to set up Mission Projects in the name of the Golden Jubilee for wider missionary outreach programme. Pastors are requested to organise “dawn prayer” beginning from January 10, 2011. Prayer requests and items will be issued from NCRC office. The Council also added that the meaning and purpose of jubilee be observed in all organizational levels of NCRC by maintaining forgiveness and reconciliation if any. Further, NCRC office bearers will visit NCRC tribal centers and councils within January 2011 for effective implementation of things.
Meanwhile, the final and main event of the jubilee will be unveiling of jubilee monolith in Gariphema on January 9, 2012 and celebration of jubilee in Dimapur city from January 12 to 15, 2012.
