Kohima, November 30 (MExN): The Nagaland Christian Revival Church (NCRC) Prison Ministry today marked its silver jubilee by conducting simultaneous visits to all 11 district jails across Nagaland, sharing the Gospel and engaging in fellowship with inmates.
In Kohima, a team led by Thepfuzolie R. Metha, Chairman of the Managing Board, visited the District Jail, where inmates actively took part in the programme. Metha delivered the Silver Jubilee greetings and presented a brief history of the ministry, highlighting its milestones.
Established in 2000, the NCRC Prison Ministry received its first official permission on September 23, 2003, from AIG (Prisons) Y. Yanthan. Between 2000 and 2010, the ministry baptised 42 inmates. It was formally registered on July 21, 2006.
At Kohima District Jail, Rev. Razouvizo Tetso, Chairman of the Angami Christian Revival Church Council, shared the Gospel, urging inmates to abandon harmful paths and embrace renewed lives in Christ. He encouraged them with the message of hope and transformation through Christ.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks and benediction offered by the District Jail chaplain.
As part of the silver jubilee observance, NCRC Prison Ministry teams visited all district jails across the State, conducting prayer, fellowship, and charitable activities.
