NCS (Probationers) of 2020 batch met the CEO Nagaland and other officials in the office of CEO.
Kohima, May 19 (MExN): NCS (Probationers) of 2020 batch met the CEO Nagaland, V Shashank Shekhar, IAS, Additional CEO Ruokuovituo Khezhie, Joint CEO Awa Lorin and other officials in the office of CEO. The probationers were accompanied by Lemlila, Assistant Commissioner from the Commissioner’s Office, stated a press release from the CEO office.
The NCS probationers were briefed about various activities of the CEO office like Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP), Electoral Registration Officer’s Network (ERONET), handling of Electronic Voting Machine (EVMs)/Voters Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPATs) and various IT initiatives of the Election Commission of India. They were also briefed about the various administrative and legal aspects related to the conduct of elections.
CEO V Shashank Shekhar, IAS, shared about the very important role played by administrative officers in the conduct of elections. He also shared that elections are at the heart of a democratic system of government adopted by our country through the constitution.
