NCSF chairman salutes sanitation workers in Kohima

The Chairman of National Commission for Safai Karamcharis, Government of India, Manhar Valji Bhai Zala launched the 'Swachhata Abhiyan Programme' at Old NST to Razhu Point in Kohima town on February 18.

 

Launching the programme, a DIPR report stated that the Chairman requested every citizen to continue in maintaining cleanliness, safety and personal hygiene starting from each individual home and surrounding, which will make a stronger, healthy and responsible citizen of the city. He also saluted the sanitation workers under Kohima Municipal Council (KMC), the Green Team Kohima and all concerned responsible citizens for contributing selfless efforts and services towards cleanliness of the city.

 

The Chairman and his team along with Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie NCS and the Administrator KMC & CEO KSCDL, Kovi Meyase led the symbolic cleaning of Kohima town.

 

The Kohima Chamber of Commerce and the Green Team Kohima along with the Safai Karamcharis participated in the social work. The programme was followed by awareness and medical check-up camp for Safai Karamcharis at KMC office.
