NCSU awards best traffic personnel

Kohima, December 16 (MExN): The Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) head office, Kohima celebrated advance Christmas cum felicitation of traffic personnel at Hotel Japfü, Kohima on December 15.  

The occasion was marked by felicitation of the best traffic personnel (men and women) in the State Capital. Constable Hokali V. Chishi of 15th NAP (IR) Mahila Battalion attached to South Traffic won the award in the women’s category and Traffic Constable Methna Konyak of North Traffic won in men’s category.  

NCSU president Pele Khezhie gave away cash prize of Rs 10,000 and citation to each of the awardees.  

Extending greetings on the occasion, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sosang Jamir appreciated NCSU for the concern shown through such annual awards to the traffic personnel. He also challenged the traffic personnel to improvise their work in controlling the traffic within the capital town with sincerity and devotion, informed a press release from NCSU vice president KL Setuo Rutsa. Sosang also urged the awardees to maintain the standard and perform much better to uphold their award.  

Meanwhile, Registrar of Christ for the Nation Bible College Kohima, Laxman sharing Christmas message from John 3:16 and Luke 2:10-14 challenged the contractors throughout the state to be bold in glorifying God through their works and also share the love of the birth of Jesus Christ with others.  

The programme was chaired by NCSU general secretary John Kath, while Pastor David Koza of CCRC Upper PWD Kohima pronounced invocation.
