Dimapur, August 24 (MExN): The Nagaland Contractos’ and Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) Dimapur Unit has extended firm support to the demand for open tender system for all contracts and supply work in Nagaland.
Drawing attention to the presence of many discrepancies in various departments in awarding contract works, the union reminded the concerned departments to “strictly follow” the government standing order that all contract and supply works be put up for open tender where “only registered and valid NCSU members are eligible”.
In this regard, the Dimapur unit stated that it would mobilize its members to check all the departments under Dimapur district to verify all contracts and supply works, as directed by its head office. “If any violation of norms and objectives is found in awarding the work order, the union shall submit the report to its head office for further necessary action,” the NCSU Dimapur stated.
The union has also cautioned its members not to misuse its letter pad for tendering bids for unregistered members.
