Dimapur, May 19 (MExN): The Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) head office Kohima has invited interested persons willing to register at NCSU on or before June 30, 2011, after that no fresh registration shall be entertained. Further, all the NCSU registered members including class 1 contractors those who have not yet renewed their identity cards are informed to renew it on or before June 30, failing which his/her ID card shall be treated as cancelled. This was informed in a notification issued by NCSU vice president Ntsenthung Tungoe.
The Union has also warned all the registered members and class 1 contractors of NCSU identity card holder not to exchange their writing pad to government servants, non-locals or any unregistered members. If any one is found or detected by the NCSU, he or she may be expelled from the Union. While warning that the Union added that some contractors offer their writing pad to some non-registered members and subsequently the workmanship is very bad leading to many complaints and criticisms from departments and public.
The Union, therefore fervently request to the state government to maintain strict adherence and compliance in the matter of awarding contracts and supplies to the NCSU registered members as clearly stated in the government order. Further, the Union added that it will no longer remain mute spectator to the gross violations committed on the part of the government officials who do not heed the government memo and consequences will be borne by the defaulting officials.
