NCSU to check allocation of contracts and supplies

KOHIMA, JUNE 19 (MExN): The Nagaland Contractors’ & Suppliers’ Union (NCSU), Kohima, stated that it would strongly agitate against the unauthorized allocation of government contracts/supplies and table tendering of any such work. It said that this was a total violation of the contractual norms and damages the very fabric of the system of contract.

The press release issued by President Pele Khezhie and General Secretary Moa Emchen stated that the union reiterates and stands firmly by the government order vides no Bud/8-7/95-96/dt. 4th Oct. ’95, in the process of allocation of government contract and supply order to any unregistered person(s)/firm(s).

The release also stated that departmental checking in allocation of contracts and supplies would resume at the earliest. The check and evaluation which could not achieve much last year due to time constrains, would be taken up in a much more vigorous manner, stated the release.

The union has, therefore asked all the head officials of the department to cooperate with the NCSU officials as and when designated members are assigned for the same purpose.
