Peren, May 13 (MExN): National Centre for Vector Borne Diseases Control (NCVBDC) State team visited Peren district on May 13 to review the performances of surveillance workers under NCVBDC, Peren and also conducted monitoring and supervision to Jalukie CHC and Heningkunglwa PHC.

A press release from Shekho Sophie, District Media Officer, CMO Office Peren stated that health units visited were individually assessed to ensure that health units are well equipped before the monsoon of any possible outbreaks of vector borne diseases. All surveillance workers performances were individually assessed along with overall performance of the District in surveillance during the last 4 years. 

Dr R Chubala Aier urged all the staff to work sincerely and ensure that no area is missed out during surveillance. She also stressed on screening high risk population such as mobile groups and road construction workers. Availability of stock at the district store, documentation and reporting formats were all checked and reviewed accordingly.

The visiting team interacted with the Senior Medical Officer, CHC Jalukie, MO I/c of Heningkunglwa PHC, MOs and Lab Techs, wherein handholding support was imparted accordingly and the visit ended with a review meeting at District Vector Borne Diseases Control Office at Jalukie.

The State representatives included Dr R Chubala Aier, Additional Director & State Programme Officer (SPO), NCVBDC along with PH Consultant, Imsubenla. District team comprising of DPO CD, Dr Hedungkiebe along with District Consultant, Vimekhrie U Metsieo aided the State team in the visit.
