NCW seminar on ‘Harnessing AI Opportunities for Women’

Chümoukedima, October 30 (MExN): A one-day national level seminar sponsored by National Commission for Women (NCW), New Delhi on ‘Harnessing AI Opportunities for Women’ was organised by Tetso College, Nagaland on October 29. 

W Nginyeih Konyak, Chairperson of Nagaland State Commission for Women  as the keynote speaker highlighted the various importance of the AI, the awareness and knowledge that is the need of the hour which is applied and required in the vast field and applications of AI. She also highlighted the various concerns and security of the AI and why harnessing AI is important especially for the women. 

The seminar witnessed seven sessions on various topics. Integrating AI opportunities for Women engaged in remote work or freelancing which was delivered by Talinungsang, Asst Dean School of Computer Science, IT & NIELIT, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, Tetso College. 

Session II on Digital Literacy was delivered by Prof Sujata Das, Department of Information Technology NU, Session III on Generative AI for personalized Learning and course available to enhance the usage of AI and Session VII on Empowering the Next Generation by Dr Tribikram Pradhan, Asst Professor, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Tezpur University, Assam, Session IV on Application of AI across professions by Dr H Rohen Singh Asst Professor Department of Information Technology, NU, Session V Biomedical Image Analysis by Dr Neelima Arambam Asst Prof NIT Nagaland and Session VI on Cyber Security by Nepoleon Keisham, Asst Professor, Department of Computer Science Tetso College. 

The seminar was attended by around 302 attendees.
