NCYM visits St. Augustine’s Church

Kohima, June 21 (MExN): The Nagaland Catholic Youth Movement (NCYM), the apex body of Nagaland Catholic youths of Kohima diocese, visited St Augustine’s Church Chessore on June 17.   The team led by spiritual director, Rev Fr GL Khing offered Holy Mass together with the community members. Before the Holy Mass, Rev Fr Anthony, priest in-charge of St Augustine Church Chessore accorded welcome to the NCYM executive.   During the homily, Rev Fr Khing told the community members “to know church, love church and love one another” and further encouraged the parents to bring up their children according to the Christian life.   A short felicitation for Fathers was also held, where Veluhu Anthony Vero, president NCYM offered a special prayer for all the fathers.   After the Holy Mass, short talks were given by Khamkiumong L John, general secretary NCYM and Rev GL Khing. John spoke on oneness, where he said catholic means universal, which includes all sections of society, thus Catholics share the spirit of oneness.   “By accepting the Catholic Faith, you become a follower of Christ,” he stated. John also spoke on the importance of Holy Eucharist, Mother Mary and Holy Rosary.
