1st Dimapur Volley tournament concludes Morung Express News Dimapur | October 29 Naga Colony Youth Organisation - B (NCYO –B)) was crowned the champions of the 1st Dimapur District Volleyball Tournament. In a one-sided final played here today at the DDSC Stadium, the team from Burma Camp brushed past Yepeka’s Club in straight sets. Organized by Dimapur District Volleyball Association (DDVA), the maiden district volleyball tournament, which kicked-off on October 27, saw participation from seven teams representing different areas in Dimapur. While the DDVA has been around for quite some time, it was the first district level tournament held under its aegis. According to the organisers, the tournament was initiated to encourage young talents as well as generate a sense of team spirit and unity between different areas of the district. DDVA also plan to organise the tournament annually.
