NDMSA to contribute Rs.50,000 to NGSEWA

Kohima, September 11 (MExN): The Nagaland Directorate Ministerial Services Association (NDMSA) in its meeting held on September 3, resolved to contribute sum of Rs.50, 000/- to the Nagaland Government Senior Employees Welfare Association (NGSEWA) to show support to its “sister association” NGSEWA for doing a “noble task for the welfare of all Nagaland government employees that they may serve the government up to the superannuation age i.e. 60 years of age”. 

The secretary of the said association in a press note stated that the house agreed to raise the said amount by requesting every directorate to contribute Rs. 1000/- each. It also resolved to communicate the decision to the government and all the departments as well, it added.

It also stated that at the onset of the meeting the house reviewed the latest progress and status of the association’s demands and has expressed its disappointment over the government’s inaction for its various demands and resolved to authorise all the office bearers with some co-opted members to pursue the association demands that are pending in the government level.

It further mentioned that the association in the meeting discussed about proper implementation of service rules by the head of the department, particularly the high power committee recommendations and the Nagaland retirement from public services 2nd amendment bill 2009. 

Moreover, the house further resolved to enhance the membership fee from the present rate of Rs.10/- to Rs.50/- per member per year from 2010 onwards, it stated.
