Pungro, October 20 (MExN): The 60 A/C Pungro-Kiphire unit of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), on October 19, held a ‘welcoming programme’ for erstwhile Naga People’s Front (NPF) workers, who joined the party recently.
The NPF workers of Pungro, Khongsa and Melomika range units, who resigned from the party recently, joined the NDPP on October 5, a press release from the unit informed. The event held at the NDPP Constituency Treasurer Rethrongmong’s residence in Pungro Town saw short speeches from party officials and others including Y Chipong, Former President NPF, Pungro Area Unit; . Azho Paul, Former Secretary, NPF 60 A/C Pungro – Kiphire; Shuven, Former Advisor, NPF DU; Yansomong, GB Pungro Town; Mujong, Central Secretary (Youth) NDPP Nagaland; JK Kiutsumong, Central Secretary NDPP, Agri & Allied; and Tsaseto, President NDPP, Kiphire region.
Meanwhile, according welcome to the incoming members, K Shellumthong Yimkhiung, Secretary, Central Executive Board, Co-Convener, Kiphire region of NDPP appreciated them for the trust in the able leadership of the party under the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and Chingwang Konyak, President, NDPP Nagaland.
Chairing the event, K Tsalimong, President, 60 A/C NDPP urged the gathering to work hand in hand for the wellbeing of the area and sought cooperation from all whenever required.
