NDPP celebrates Hokato Hotozhe Sema’s historic Bronze Medal win

Dimapur, September 20 (MExN): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) welcomed home Nagaland’s first Paralympian, Hokato Hotozhe Sema, who recently secured a bronze medal in the shot-put event at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games. The NDPP extended congratulations to Hokato for his remarkable achievement, highlighting the significance of winning a medal in such a prestigious international competition for athletes with disabilities.

The party emphasized that qualifying for the Paralympic Games is already a monumental achievement, but winning a medal exemplifies the dedication, determination, and hard work that Hokato has demonstrated in overcoming the challenges posed by his disability.

The NDPP expressed confidence that he will continue to inspire and bring pride to the region, wishing him the best in all future endeavors and praying for divine blessings upon him.

Additionally, the NDPP commended the Government of Nagaland for recognizing Hokato’s achievement with a cash reward of Rs 1.5 crores, alongside the Chief Minister’s commitment to ensure that his success is acknowledged at the national level by the Government of India and the Ministry of Defense.

The party believed that Hokato’s historic accomplishment will inspire current and future generations to strive for excellence on both national and international stages.
