Chümoukedima, September 12 (MExN): The Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), Dimapur Region held a consultative meeting with Zhaleo Rio, Legislature In-charge, Dimapur District and Charlie Sekhose, Convenor, NDPP Region Incharge at NDPP Central Office, Chümoukedima on September 12.

The consultative meet, according to the Media Secretary, NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II A/C was attended by office executives from all assembly constituencies and units under Dimapur and submission of different reports as well as detailed deliberation on means to strengthen the party was undertaken by the house. 

Addressing the party executives, Zhaleo Rio who was recently entrusted to oversee party affairs in Dimapur district said, “Taking you back to two and half years, NDPP was in the initial stages of formation and later, with the mandate of the people, a popular government was established and the present PDA government is more than stable.”

Zhaleo stressed that many developments have since then been accomplished while many are in progress but also expressed regret that the whole world came to a standstill due to the present pandemic. “Likewise, due to various unforeseen reasons, a proper consultative meet may have eluded us till today but starting from now, let us solve all our issues together and assure our best to work for the welfare of the party and people,” he appealed while noting the activities and grievances of different Assembly Constituencies. 

Citing the absence of offices in some constituencies, Rio assured to extend all possible help while requesting party leaders to responsibly enroll more members by creating cohesive ambience. He however warned leaders not to give empty promises nor spread propaganda which are detrimental to a society.

Based on the advice of the Legislature District Incharge, the house unanimously resolved to coordinate, revamp and strengthen their respective constituencies on all fronts. 

The meeting was chaired by Charlie Sekhose, Convenor, NDPP Incharge Dimapur District while Razouvotuo Chatsu, General Secretary (Central), Member NDPP Region Incharge, pronounced the invocation and Introductory speech.

Kugato S Aye, President, NDPP Dimapur Region delivered a report of the regional activities which was followed by presidential reports from all the five constituencies of Dimapur and Mayangtoshi Pongen (Central) Secretary, Member NDPP Region Incharge gave the vote of thanks followed by an interactive session.
