Peren, February 25 (MExN): The Peren Unit of the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) on Sunday filed a complaint to the Chief Election Officer (CEO), Nagaland against an IAS officer accusing the latter of openly canvassing for an NPF candidate and of “luring” the public with government schemes.
“This is a serious breach of rules, as he not only supported a candidate of a political party in public platform, but also used government facilities, cars and security guards in his political activities,” the NDPP stated in a separate press release.
Charging the concerned officer of not only misusing his position but also breaching the “trust and confidence” placed on him by the government, the NDPP demanded that the concerned authority immediately suspend the officer and institute a high level enquiry.
