The Kohima Region of Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) today conducted inter- Assembly Constituency sports meet at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.


The meet was formally inaugurated by Er. Zale Neikha, advisor youth resources and sports.


Later, urban development and municipal affairs advisor Dr. Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire spoke at the closing function and gave away prize to the winners.


Dr. Kire stressed on the need to organize such sports meet in a bigger way in future.


“The more we meet the more understanding we will have,” he said.


He said that sports bring people together and one get to know each other better.


Er. Kevisekho Kruse called upon the party workers to stay united and strengthen the party as well as the PDA government.


8th Western Angami A/C emerged football champion while Kohima region stood runner-up.


In volleyball (women), 15th Southern Angami II and 10th Northern Angami- I A/C stood champion and runner up respectively.


Earlier, welcome address was delivered by NDPP Kohima region president Avio Tetso.


The inaugural and closing function was chaired by Maziezokho Nisa and Kechangulie Kense respectively.


Vote of thanks was proposed by NDPP Kohima region working president Keduolhoulie Huozha.
